chug a chug a choo choo

This post will not be edited…no time….so be kind to me and forget about the misspelling and bad punctuation!!

Andrew arrived…and now he is 2 1/2 months.  Life is busy, not too much busier then I was expecting.  And the laundry, oh the laundry.  I was actually considering setting up a mini bar in the laundry “room” b/c I spend so much time in there I might as well be “happy”.

Matthew has welcomed his little bro with open arms …literally, he is constantly trying to pick him up.  His approach is not quite right but Andrew tolerates it.  One day I am sure, he will figure out how to do it…that will be a very scary day!  He likes to coo to him.

Andrew is a champion sleeper.  He settles to bed late (around 1030 or 11) and sleeps until 430 or 5  then up often after that.  So I get a good chunk of sleep at the start of the night which is so nice!  He is growing so fast and long.  When you hold him in a sitting up position on your lap, he holds his head up and bobbles it around.  He coos, giggles and blows foam bubbles with his mouth.

Matthew can do anything and everything.  He is into everything. He is so chatty.  Some of our favourite things he says are:

“because what”

“I not want to”

“I’m getting  tired of this hill mommeeeee”as we were driving down mariner hill

“take my bib on”

“turn the water off” MOMMEEEEEE turn the water off (yelling from his room when it was raining outside)

We are settling into our new house and I LOVE that I have a craft room.  There is an endless amount of space here.  I love that we have a garage as well.  The suite it done now and the hunt is on for a tenant if any of you know someone that is looking for a one bedroom place in  port coquitlam.

here are some pictures:

even though life is busy I can’t imagine life without our boys!!

ps : ssssshhhh, don’t tell Alex….I just bought matching pj’s for the boys and I can’t wait to put them in them!! I think that was Alex’s rule about having two boys, no matching outfits…but seriously I LOVE THAT!!! and they are going to look so cute!!!

Getting Closer

July 13th, 2009 by tlharford

I am 34 weeks now but I feel like I am 45 weeks. It is amazing the difference in having a summer pregnancy vs a spring one…I am SO cranky. Plus the difference between the first and second pregnancies have been much different. My poor pelvis and back are all loosey goosey and so I have alot of pain.
My belly is getting very big and I think I look like I am due any minute now. In fact most people are surprised when I tell them August 23 is my due date.
Life is busy at our house because we are moving on July 30/31/Aug 1. We have bought a house and we are so excited. We will be close to my sister in law and in a beautiful neighbourhood. Did I mention yet that I get a craft room!!! (I do have to share the space with Alex’s computer stuff….boooo!!).
Matthew is growing fast, potty training up a storm and talking a mile a minute. I love him SO much and I can’t imagine our lives without him! He has a few phrases he says alot like “whacha doin mommy” and “honeydoo”. He counts holding his fingers up and now misses 5, before it was 7. He loves to pay attention to my belly and his “yittle bwatha”. The other day he had my parent’s fan and he pulled up my shirt to fan his “yittle bwatha” I can tell he senses change is coming because he is sticking close right now and seems more lovey dovey then usual, not that I am complaining. He still loves to eat anything in site. Right now he is living off of fruit, particularly berries of any sort. Alex’s garden is amazing and Matt is loving picking whatever he can to eat. We have had a dozen zucchini’s cabbage, peas, beets, lettuce and various herbs. Matthew is going to have a HUGE pumpkin by the time October rolls around, it is the size of a volley ball right now. Our first cucumber is about to ripen, which is what I have been looking forward to!

I have an appt with the Dr tomorrow (well technically today) and will see how things are progressing. Last appt at 32 weeks revealed that I was measuring the equivalent to 36 weeks and my body was already changing to deliver…hopefully it hasn’t progressed anymore!~

It’s a boy!

April 25th, 2009 by tlharford

It’s a boy!!! We will have a house full of boys!  So exciting and a relief all at the same time because all I have to do is get the”newborn” bin out of the crawl space, unload it and then wash it!  EASY EASY!!!

My belly is undeniably bigger then it should be. BUT WHO CARES!!! I feel great!

I am loving being pregnant again!  The only thing that is worrying me is that he really is a mover and a shaker.  Matthew was so calm in utero, this one the absolute opposite…YIKES!!!!

Matthew is fascinated with my belly and rubs it like a buddha belly and pokes at my belly button (which still is thankfully an innie).  I am due in 4 months exactly and actually hopefully closer to 3.25~  So….that isn’t all that far away~! (SLIGHT PANIC  YIKESSSSSSSSSSS)   we still do have alot to do.  I am nesting like crazy and have organized everything possible but our house still manages to be a mess.  We still need to take down the computer room and turn it into a “big boy” room for Matt.  That is really the biggest thing and then we will be able to start moving things out of the crawl space and setting them up!   With this baby being 4 months ahead of Matt season wise, the clothes might be a bit off DARN shopping!

Matt turned two on the weekend and wow what an amazing boy he is!  He is so chatty, stringing 6 or more words together at a time.    We took him to the doolebops for his birthday and he was SHELL shocked.  He was looking at the stage totally and completely stunned.  He kept on wanting to walk down to the stage. Once the Doodlebops came onto stage he just stared at them.  He was absolutely amazed.  My mom had made him some flags to wave around.  What a special grandma.  He waved them proudly and was the only one with flags in the Queen E.  I would have thought that would be one of the first things they would have been selling.

Anyways off to eat breakfast as I haven’t eaten in more then 12 hours and that is completely and totally unacceptable!!! Homemade waffles HERE I COME!!!!!!!
