Baby Crib and belly!!!

Sunday, March 18th, 2007

So we have finally made some progress on the baby’s room. Alex has come down with a cold again…he was just sick 3 weeks ago. So Uncle Steve came over with the crib and set it up! We also got a glider chair that is so comfortable!dsc_0005resized.JPG

32 Weeks

Friday, March 16th, 2007

So I went to the Dr’s today…and will be going every two weeks now for the next 2 times and then every week until the baby is born!  So I have gained a total of 20lbs.  The baby is still sitting in the same spot…I guess he is comfy! (His head is down with his back towards my left side and his feet out to the right.  The Dr said he is up out of my pelvis and when she measured my “fundal height” (how high my uterus is) I think I explained this before…it is supposed to be the same number of centimeters as you are weeks and I am measuring 36cm….at 32 weeks….the Dr said it is because the baby is sitting so high because he has so much room! Having a long torso has come in really handy! No bladder pressure and a little (well sometimes alot…) of stomach pressure!  The baby’s heartbeat was nice and strong and he even gave a big kick when the Dr was amplifying his heartbeat! So that is all the baby news. Alex and I are going to work on the nursery this weekend. We actually just got finished with putting together a dresser from Ikea (compliments of my Aunty Joanne).  Tomorrow we will sort through everything and get the rough layout set up! How exciting…things are starting to come together!

Baby got a buggy

Sunday, March 11th, 2007

Alex and I went shopping today for a buggy for the baby.  I had this model recommended to me and went to the store to find out more details about features.  WOW is it ever overwhelming picking out a buggy.  Now I know most of the features that are nice to have in a buggy, i.e. light weight, easily collapsible and storeable(Aunty Bree!), nice sized basket, (Uncle Mark suggested a cup holder for coffee)…but when you actually have 30 models in front of you and they all basically have all of those features…where does one start! We were lucky enough to spend 30 minutes with a salesperson who walked us through all of the differences. Then we decided on this model!  We both love it and I am so excited about the walks we will take as a family!  It is called the “Zooper Boogy”. Alex, my dad and I sat down and watched the instructional DVD that came along with the buggy, which has one of the most annoying songs playing in the background the whole time.   Remind me and I can play for each of you sometime!  Here are some pictures I took as Daddy was assembling the buggy with a tiny bit of help from Grandpa, Complete with Uncle Steve modeling the versatile hand height adjustment!
