Surprise Baby Shower on April 1!!!
So little did I know what I was in for when I agreed to make cards on Sunday April 1. My mom and I were set up making cards at her table when we received a call from my Aunty Joanne saying that she was too pooped to make the drive out to Burnaby. So my mom and I said we would come pick her and Grandma up. When I arrived at her house I knocked and went in (in my jeans) and I hear a big SURPRISE!! Wow am I ever spoiled! The room was full of so many people! These were the people that were there : My mom, Aunty Joanne, Alex’s mom, Christine, Bree, Grandma Silva, Grandma Ginny, Aunty Barb, Great Aunty Kay, Meg, Bonnie, Rebecca, Jan, Sue, Aunty Jen, Jessica, Pati, Lori, Lori Ann and a surprise arrival of my cousin Leticia (who came all the way from the island). I hope I haven’t forgotten anybody….I blame it on baby brain if I did. There were all sorts of games, my favorite game was: My Aunty Joanne froze little plastic babies inside of an ice cube and gave everyone one in a cup and the first one whose baby floated to the top of the water once the ice cube melted won a prize. It was so funny to watch everyone blowing hot air on their babies and swirling cup to let friction and momentum melt their cubes.
Boy did I ever get spoiled with gifts…I was opening gifts forever! Lots of baby boy blue clothes, and so many handmade gifts! My Mom aka Grandma Tetreau (along with many other goodies) cross stitched a family tree. I felt so loved and supported! This baby is going to be one loved little guy! I would list off the gifts but it would take you all forever to read to the bottom of it!
The food was so good! People were raving about the food to me after the shower. There was a delicious fruit platter and a seafood cocktail and many more yummy treats. The cake was yummy (when I get a pick of it I will post it) Christine had it made and I am pretty sure it said “From nursing to nursing! Congratulations!

My Dad aka Grandpa Tetreau sent along a hockey Jersey for his little grandson…as you can see this baby can’t help but be a hockey fan! Can you also see the diaper tower that Jan made. The diapers smell so yummy!
What an exciting day for me and I was thoroughly pooped by the end of the day!
