So….not too much to tell. I am feeling pretty uncomfortable now and I am feeling ready for this baby to come.  The room is ready…I keep on forgetting to take a picture of it! I will soon though!  Here are some pics of my gigantic belly that has popped out the baby is really riding low now!

So as you just read I had an appointment with Dr Buie yesterday. The baby looks nice and healthy in size!!!! She measured my belly and I am measuring 39cm. YIKES!! I asked the Dr if she is sure about my due date because of the baby’s size and she referred back to the ultrasound report and said no she thinks that dates are right and we are just going to have a big baby! The baby has dropped down lower now, which is great! The heart beat sounded great, he was squirming around so much that she had to keep on moving the doppler to hear his heart beat steadily! She was concerned about my blood pressure (bp) because for the first time my bp is measuring higher than it usually is (around 140/90). Which really isn’t that high but in comparison to what I usually am (120/70) she was concerned. I think mostly because I also gained 6 lbs in two weeks which she said is “water weight”. So she sent me for STAT blood work that all came back fine. She also told me to watch for a bunch of symptoms. I feel fine, so I am not too concerned, although I am going to take this as a clear message to start slowing down and resting more then I have! I am going to take people up on their offers to help out (mostly my mom!!!) .

It is really nice to know that the baby has already reached a decent size and that I could have him now and he would be a healthy weight! During the last few weeks of pregnancy babies are apparently supposed to gain about a pound a week. So with three more weeks to go and the Dr estimating that he is already 8lbs….YIKES!!! I am not even going to think about the total weight and just keep on remembering that is her guess, who knows maybe it is just his position and he weighs less then that (I am clearly not in denial!!!).

Here is a picture of Alex’s Grandpa Harford on Easter. He got out of the palliative care unit for Easter dinner. He is doing really well and I am optimistic that he will easily make it to see his great grand baby! The dinner was fantastic and alot of the family made it! It is so nice to have such a large family on both Alex’s and my side!

Just got word from Tracy on her way home from the doctor… Dr. Buie thinks the baby is 8lbs right now! With another 3 weeks until the due date, it’s going to get even bigger. I wonder if he’ll be bigger than Stephen?
