This post will not be edited…no time….so be kind to me and forget about the misspelling and bad punctuation!!

Andrew arrived…and now he is 2 1/2 months. Life is busy, not too much busier then I was expecting. And the laundry, oh the laundry. I was actually considering setting up a mini bar in the laundry “room” b/c I spend so much time in there I might as well be “happy”.

Matthew has welcomed his little bro with open arms …literally, he is constantly trying to pick him up. His approach is not quite right but Andrew tolerates it. One day I am sure, he will figure out how to do it…that will be a very scary day! He likes to coo to him.

Andrew is a champion sleeper. He settles to bed late (around 1030 or 11) and sleeps until 430 or 5 then up often after that. So I get a good chunk of sleep at the start of the night which is so nice! He is growing so fast and long. When you hold him in a sitting up position on your lap, he holds his head up and bobbles it around. He coos, giggles and blows foam bubbles with his mouth.

Matthew can do anything and everything. He is into everything. He is so chatty. Some of our favourite things he says are:

“because what”

“I not want to”

“I’m getting tired of this hill mommeeeee”as we were driving down mariner hill

“take my bib on”

“turn the water off” MOMMEEEEEE turn the water off (yelling from his room when it was raining outside)

We are settling into our new house and I LOVE that I have a craft room. There is an endless amount of space here. I love that we have a garage as well. The suite it done now and the hunt is on for a tenant if any of you know someone that is looking for a one bedroom place in port coquitlam.

here are some pictures:

even though life is busy I can’t imagine life without our boys!!

ps : ssssshhhh, don’t tell Alex….I just bought matching pj’s for the boys and I can’t wait to put them in them!! I think that was Alex’s rule about having two boys, no matching outfits…but seriously I LOVE THAT!!! and they are going to look so cute!!!

I am 34 weeks now but I feel like I am 45 weeks. It is amazing the difference in having a summer pregnancy vs a spring one…I am SO cranky. Plus the difference between the first and second pregnancies have been much different. My poor pelvis and back are all loosey goosey and so I have alot of pain.
My belly is getting very big and I think I look like I am due any minute now. In fact most people are surprised when I tell them August 23 is my due date.
Life is busy at our house because we are moving on July 30/31/Aug 1. We have bought a house and we are so excited. We will be close to my sister in law and in a beautiful neighbourhood. Did I mention yet that I get a craft room!!! (I do have to share the space with Alex’s computer stuff….boooo!!).
Matthew is growing fast, potty training up a storm and talking a mile a minute. I love him SO much and I can’t imagine our lives without him! He has a few phrases he says alot like “whacha doin mommy” and “honeydoo”. He counts holding his fingers up and now misses 5, before it was 7. He loves to pay attention to my belly and his “yittle bwatha”. The other day he had my parent’s fan and he pulled up my shirt to fan his “yittle bwatha” I can tell he senses change is coming because he is sticking close right now and seems more lovey dovey then usual, not that I am complaining. He still loves to eat anything in site. Right now he is living off of fruit, particularly berries of any sort. Alex’s garden is amazing and Matt is loving picking whatever he can to eat. We have had a dozen zucchini’s cabbage, peas, beets, lettuce and various herbs. Matthew is going to have a HUGE pumpkin by the time October rolls around, it is the size of a volley ball right now. Our first cucumber is about to ripen, which is what I have been looking forward to!

I have an appt with the Dr tomorrow (well technically today) and will see how things are progressing. Last appt at 32 weeks revealed that I was measuring the equivalent to 36 weeks and my body was already changing to deliver…hopefully it hasn’t progressed anymore!~

It’s a boy!!! We will have a house full of boys! So exciting and a relief all at the same time because all I have to do is get the”newborn” bin out of the crawl space, unload it and then wash it! EASY EASY!!!

My belly is undeniably bigger then it should be. BUT WHO CARES!!! I feel great!

I am loving being pregnant again! The only thing that is worrying me is that he really is a mover and a shaker. Matthew was so calm in utero, this one the absolute opposite…YIKES!!!!

Matthew is fascinated with my belly and rubs it like a buddha belly and pokes at my belly button (which still is thankfully an innie). I am due in 4 months exactly and actually hopefully closer to 3.25~ So….that isn’t all that far away~! (SLIGHT PANIC YIKESSSSSSSSSSS) we still do have alot to do. I am nesting like crazy and have organized everything possible but our house still manages to be a mess. We still need to take down the computer room and turn it into a “big boy” room for Matt. That is really the biggest thing and then we will be able to start moving things out of the crawl space and setting them up! With this baby being 4 months ahead of Matt season wise, the clothes might be a bit off DARN shopping!

Matt turned two on the weekend and wow what an amazing boy he is! He is so chatty, stringing 6 or more words together at a time. We took him to the doolebops for his birthday and he was SHELL shocked. He was looking at the stage totally and completely stunned. He kept on wanting to walk down to the stage. Once the Doodlebops came onto stage he just stared at them. He was absolutely amazed. My mom had made him some flags to wave around. What a special grandma. He waved them proudly and was the only one with flags in the Queen E. I would have thought that would be one of the first things they would have been selling.

Anyways off to eat breakfast as I haven’t eaten in more then 12 hours and that is completely and totally unacceptable!!! Homemade waffles HERE I COME!!!!!!!

The little baby within me is kicking up a storm. I can’t believe how much this little one squirms. I can’t remember Matthew ever moving this much. What a busy baby…it makes me a tad nervous! We had our ultrasound to confirm our dates. It was so neat to see our baby.

The only thing that is on my mind right now is if it is a boy or girl. I just WANT to know!!! NOW!~! We are having our detailed u/s on April 6 so just two weeks to wait. I am 17 almost 18 weeks preggers now. I am gaining weight…YIKES…it could be the sour keys I am eating continuously or perhaps the junk I am pretty much well eating non stop or perhaps the total lack of motivation to exercise. Thanks goodness Matt keeps me busy so at least I am burning SOME calories.

We need to get busy moving Matt to the bigger room. He is growing fast before our eyes. My favourite thing he does is articulate what he is saying! It is so cute how he tries so hard to say everything properly.

Stay tuned for the u/s pic. and perhaps if I am brave enough a flabby belly shot!

We are expecting another baby so now we have changed the blog name to Family Harford…

So this little baby foo foo (as we are calling it) is due on Aug 23 although our Dr has braced us this one will likely come early like Matt did! I don’t think there will be any arguing coming from me seeing as this will be a summer pregnancy so any weeks in the summer heat that I don’t have to spend exploding the better (as long as it is passed 37 weeks!! don’t want a preemie!!)

I have been feeling absolutely dreadful! Nauseated, nauseous, nausea all versions squared! Luckily again I have not been puking! I have been feeling 10 times worse this time around. Within the past week I have noticed that it is getting a bit better because I don’t feel nauseated every morning…just most.

We got to hear baby foo foo’s heartbeat on Monday. I was too distracted by Matt’s wide eyes of wonder and curiosity to listen carefully but we recorded it so that we can hear it again and again!

I might have a c-section this time around, will have to see what the OB has to recommend! So we might get to choose this baby’s birthdate…any suggestions?!(well more likely the OB will choose it but maybe I can say there is a conflict with my schedule that day, I will be busy tanning in my bikini!)

Matthew is growing up fast and he finally said his name today for the first time! sounded more like cashew. He also said love you for the first time on my birthday which was an extra special gift! He is slimming out and growing tall. He is a real boys boy and jumps and tumbles and tackles all that fun boy stuff!

I love the snow! Well at least when I don’t need to get anywhere! Matthew has been enjoying the “now” too. We haven’t been able to build any “man” in the snow though because it is too powdery! I bought Matt some snowpants at the end of the season last year and happened to get the right size.

We have set up our Christmas tree and it is surviving and thriving with the amount of attention it gets every hour. We have put all non breakable ornaments on it is working out well SO FAR.

Matt is repeating everything we say now. Alex was playing with him on the drive home yesterday and he really will do his best job at repeating every single word. He is singing ALOT and adds in last word of every sentence of the songs he knows. Twinkle Twinke Little Star, Up on the Roof Top, and The Doodlebops Theme Song are the songs that he sings best right now.

We got a big boy bed delivered by Grandma and Grandpa Tetreau for Matt’s Christmas present. He was right there with his screw driver helping mommy and daddy put it together. He loves his new bed! Still struggling at times with bed time but most nights everything is good!

Here are some pics of various events over the past month

My little guy is repeating everything I am saying now! A few of his favourite things to say are cheese both when he wants it and when I am taking a picture of him. He LOVES to say books and Mommeeee peas. He loves to give kisses and hugs and twirl around and around in circles until he is so dizzy he falls down

He had a great time for Halloween. We went to 2 halloween parties and he even kept his costume on! He didn’t want to wear the mouse ears. He was mickey mouse. This is actually something both my brother and I dressed up as at his age (well…I was minnie). I couldn’t resist with his cute little button nose and chubby everything.

мебели

It is hard to believe that he is already 18 months (well almost 19 months) .

He is getting CHALLENGING. That is a nice word to use right? We have officially entered into the mild tempertantrumstage, complete with arching of the back, holding his breath, wailing and collapsing to the ground. NOT FUN and even less fun when out, or perhaps in the middle of the parking lot for the swimming pool. To be honest though as much as these moments are frustrating and tiring, I am finding everything he does so amazing. His pure fascination with little things is grounding.

We have recently had to move him out of his crib as he was taking it upon himself to remove himself from the crib when he saw fit. Unfortunately it mostly involved loud thumps and crying in the middle of the night. Needless to say NOT SAFE. So one night right before bedtime, Alex took apart his crib and we put his mattress on the ground. It has not been going well. I think he has really taken comfort in having the barriers around him. He is quite an active sleeper and we found him in a different place every night no matter where we put him in. He was also always leaning up against one of the crib sides and usually had his feet up in the air resting against one of the bars. So I imagine that having nothing around him is quite unsettling. So after many nights of us sitting beside him we had to go with the crying it out solution surprisingly we found it only took about 1 min to stop crying and go to sleep. Although it seems to be getting worse as the days pass. One night was particularly bad and we heard a ” Mommeeee DOWN, daddeeee down” coming from his room. We gave in and went into his room and found him in his change table so needless to say he has nothing but a mattress, a garbage can and the baby monitor in his room now. QUITE SCARY.

Matthew has finally had another tooth come in. It’s been a few days in the making, he’s been running a fever and alternating between grumpy and clingy. Also, he’s been biting down on his hard plastic toys. His face would go bright red and he’d shake his head like a dog attacking a chew toy. Then he’d scream. So it’s been a trying few days for him. But now that it’s erupted, I hope he’ll feel better soon.

The new tooth is on the same side as his other side tooth, so now he has all four front teeth, and two extra on his right side. That’s my genetics causing the weird dental issues.

Today we went to White Pine beach with a group of moms and their babies. I guess I need to say toddlers now that they are all over a year. We all had so much fun! There was sand in every single crevice on Matthew’s body. But he didn’t care! He dove into the water a few times and took in some water but recovered nicely after I swooped and saved him. He got a little more timid around the water after those few times. The funniest part of the day was when he strolled up to some bikini wearing teenagers and started dancing to their music and then just stood there and stared at them. I couldn’t figure out what was going on and then I discovered he was jonesing for their french fries. Lets just say my son is not SKINNY. Although he is starting to thin out from all the exercise he does. He keeps us both SO busy! Here are some pictures
